Wired Network Access Locations

Wired network access for laptops is available in the main hallway, outside the computer labs, on the first floor of the Michalio building (administration) and in specific outlets inside the computer labs.

Please DO NOT disconnect or use the network cables from the computers inside the computer labs.

If you use the hallway network outlets you may need to have avaialble a simple ethernet cable (UTP cable) and follow the instrunctions below:

In order to use the network you must have an account user of the University of the Aegean.

Network Access Procedure

• Connect your laptop to the network outlet using your (or the provided) cable.
• Verify that the local network connection of your laptop is enabled. This is usually done via the Control Panel, Network Connections.
• Open your Internet browser (MS Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc). You will be redirected to a web page where you will be prompted to eneter your University of the Aegean account credentials.

Once you have been succesfully authenticated you will be able to have accesss to the rest of network services (email, web etc)
